Health care in Taiwan
« on: July 28, 2018, 07:08:44 PM »
Hi Jeremy,

I am a Taiwanese&US citizen. My husband (US citizen) and I plan to have our financial independence in 5 years and spend time living in Taiwan. Could you advise what you had to do to be eligible for Taiwanese National Health Insurance Program? I know there's an immigration process to go through for non-Taiwanese citizens but i'm not clear about the details.

It's been great reading your and Winnie's blogs. Very inspiring!

Thanks!

I don?t recall all of the specifics.

I had to get an ARC card based on marriage. This required a health check at a Taiwan Dr and a criminal background check from the FBI. Then after residing in Taiwan consecutively for 6 months I automatically became eligible for health insurance.
