Any input is greatly appreciated! I'm a WA state resident. They just imposed a state tax mandate for long term care (WA Cares Fund,,,if you care to look). I can opt out but must have a policy in place prior to deadline. Of course all the insurance companies are denying underwriting until the day after the opt out deadline so my only option is a LTC (long term care) rider on a whole term life insurance or on an IUL (indexed universal life). I have NO desire to keep either of these but don't want to be stuck with the WA tax ($.58 per $100 taxable wages). Does anyone have advice for whole life insurance vice IUL?
