Does anyone know if Massachusetts Health Connector uses MAGI on Federal Tax Return to determine subsidy? I would think they do but wasn?t sure as Massachusetts had mandatory health insurance required even before Obamacare so wonder if they are using something else to determine subsidy.   My main concern is whether 401k & HSA contributions count towards lowering MAGI in Massachusetts for purposes of estimating annual income.  Does anyone know as I have found it very difficult to find out from website for Connector and I called and customer service rep basically had no idea what I was even asking about.  Thank you.

It's still ACA which is based on Fed tax return MAGI - 401k and Traditional IRA contributes lower MAGI. (Same in all States.)
